Hold My Hand

During an October heat wave, this was painted en plein air on Good Harbor Beach, where I was participating in Cape Ann Plein Air (Massachusetts). This was awarded Best Beach, the Joan Van Roden Memorial Prize.

Caulking the Lynx

On a rainy fall day in Gloucester, Massachusetts I painted this under (mostly) an umbrella, as part of the Cape Ann Plein Air competition. So inspiring to work to the rhythm of the caulker’s hammer. The painting was awarded Third Place.
